RAK’s“Love is a verb. It takes action. Let go of sanitized Christianity and get back to the powerful, raw and ancient faith that chooses revolution over a watered down Christianity.” – Pastor John BradyThe Rio Grande Valley has a unique symbiotic relationship with Mexico because of the border, which has helped to stabilize the local economy. Yet, the Valley is also home to the poorest county in Texas. These dynamics give TFC many opportunities to serve their community by feeding and clothing the poor, cleaning up neighborhoods, and partnering with many local community charities. TFC Serve Teams have become well recognized in the surrounding communities for serving in their red shirts. Our goal is to show the love of God in practical ways. Jesus said they will know us by our love. We feel that serving people is the best way to demonstrate that love. RAK’s, or Random Acts of Kindness, became our avenue for serving our community. When we serve, we serve with no strings attached and we have seen some pretty incredible things over the last few years. Random Acts of Kindness
